Abstract: | Exploration Licence 2155, located on the Cox Peninsula south-west of Darwin, was explored for cassiterite and tantalite mineralization in pegmatites and alluvium. The work involved grid surveying, grid clearing and road construction, auger drilling, exploration trenching, and the analysis of rock and sediment samples. Exploration was consentrated on the Annie Pegmatite Prospect, Cornwall Prospect, Annie River Alluvial Prospect, and Vulkan Prospect. Results showed that the Annie River is the largest potential alluvial tin/tantalite resource in EL 2155. |
