Abstract: | The area was taken up to explore for large polymetallic volcanogenic sulphide deposits in rocks of the Pine Creek Geosyncline basement. After examining the treated BMR aeromagnetic data, it was decided to fly a closer-spaced magnetic survey only on 3 selected areas, which enclose 10 magnetic features of interest. This work was followed by detailed ground magnetic and SIROTEM surveys of 3 anomalies. The SIROTEM survey showed no coincident EM anomalies with the magnetic anomalies, and it was therefore decided not to proceed with other work. |
