Abstract: | The results were not encouraging. The only anomalous gold value was due to sheared quartz sulphide veins in the Mundogie sandstone. CSR Limited has conducted at its sole expense an exploration programme for disseminated gold mineralisation within the Zamu Dolerite in the Frances Creek EL 3174 under an agreement with Casey Consolidated Holdings. The 1985 field exploration programme involved photogeological mapping and stream sediment geochemical sampling. This work was integrated with similar exploration on adjoining titles. Results were not considered encouraging as the only anomalous gold values in stream sediment samples were believed to be derived from sheared quartz-sulphide veins in the Mundogie Sandstone. |
