| Abstract: | EL 2164 was one of several contiguous titles explored for uranium by a UAL/CEC JV during the period 1972-1983. The area was formerly held under EL 1001 and part of ELs 979 and 1062. EL 2164 includes the Nonouba and daria uranium prospects. Exploration techniques used included geological mapping, gridding, surface and airborne radiometry, radon surveys, vacuum, RAB, percussion and diamond drilling. A summary of this work is included. No work was done in fourth year of tenure and the exploration was curtailed by changes to Government policy. EL 2164 was surrendered on 16 September 1983. |
