dc.description.abstractEL 2067 is held to explore for limestone. The target specification for quicklime manufacture is less than 4% MgO. For cement manufacture, the grade can be as low as 78% calcium carbonate but the magnesia must be under 2.5% and preferably less than 2%. 40 holes for 389 m were drilled at two prospects. A number of lithofacies have been recognised. One of these is suitable for cement manufacture, but marginal for lime. More work is needed to test this deposit. Lime burning tests were done in Germany, Switzerland, and Victoria.en_US
