Abstract: The basal Mount Eclipse lithology intersected during the previous years drilling was considered chemically favourable for uranium mineralisation. Drilling during 1981 tested the small area remaining between RPH 105 and the northern licence boundary. Two holes RPH 106 (90 m) and RPH 107 (90 m) both intersected red fine grained sedimentary rocks tentatively identified as Mount Eclipse Sandstone. A third hole RPH 108 (120 m) midway between RPH 105 and RPH 106 was positioned to intersection the reduzate-mottled boundary but no mineralisation was intersected. A fourth hole RPH 109 (102 M) drilled 300 m east of RPH 108 was targeted on the same horizon along strike, but again no mineralisation was intersected.
