EL 246, Spirit Hill, annual report, for the year ending 29th June 1977

Abstract

During exploration program, the area was mapped and structurally reinterpretted. Recommendation indcludes that Burt Range Formation should be repalced with Spirit Hill Sand-carbonates and Egna Sandstone. A seismic refraction profile was carried out which displays a typical tidal falt-delta complex. This investigation also suggests that mineralisaed horizond may have been down-faulted in excess of 200 metres. A diamond drillhole was drilled and was lithologically logged. Palynolgical studies of the selected part of the drill core was also carried out.
