Abstract: | Queen of Sheba - Situated 5.4 km north-east of Gecko Mine at the intersection of latitude 19 23? 48 with longitude 134? 05? 02?. Access is via bush track from Gecko Mine. The related ten mineral leases were surveyed in and applied for to cover the magnetic anomalies and ironstone outcrops. Explorer 1 Anomaly 1 - Located approximately 700 retres east-north-east of the Gecko Mine at the intersection of latitude 19? 25? 45? with longitude 134? 04? 02?. Access is via a graded track from Gecko Mine. Regional mapping indicates that the prospect is located in the upper part of the Carraman Formation in approximately the sante stratigraphic position as Gecko Mine. The prospect has been gridded and a geometric vertical force survey conducted over the anomaly. Twelve diamond holes were drilled into the prospect prior to 28th May, 1975. Other prospects didn't receive any note worthy exploration, just basic geological interpretation and mapping/surveying carried out. |
