Abstract: | Gold occurs in a narrow zone of altered rock in sub economic amounts and is absent from surrounding unaltered country rock. Gold is apparently of hypogene origin. The amount of gold is approximately proportional to degree of alteration. Because of the sub-economic nature of gold, no subsurface work or other work is justified. Gold distribution erratic, apparently associated with arsenic and sulphur metasomatism and only a proportion of the gold is recoverable by milling. |
