Abstract: | Exploration work was done on the tenements located approximately 600 km north-west of Alice Springs in the Granites-Tanami region of the NT. In order to find clues for any gold mineralization, prospective target exploration areas were selected, having in mind the models of gold occurrence for which the Tanami is believed to be most prospective. the exploration was based on regional geological, structural, geophysical and geochemical data. Two gold anomalies were identified by BLEG sampling on ELR2369-5, however their prospectivity was downgrated due to non anomalous results of further geochemical analysis. Significant anomalies were not encountered through geochemical analysis on the rest of the area. |
