Abstract: | A reconnaissance stream sediment programme outlined an area of low to moderate gold anomalism (peak value 5.18ppb Au) on the central eastern boundary of the licence. Over the area of this anomaly a soil sampling grid was established. The soil sampling programme returned several anomalous values (peak value 75ppb Au). Geological mapping of the area highlighted 3 zones of quartz veining. These veins were rock chip sampled returning a peak value of 5.27ppm Au. Mineralisation appears patchy and discontinuous along strike. The work to date only indicates the potential for very small tonnage from the vicinity of the old workings. |
