Abstract: | This report summarises the work undertaken on the relinquished portion of EL1900, where there is no continuing tenure. This area has had the following work undertaken on it: airborne magnetics-radiometrics, stream sediment sampling, soil sampling, rock chip sampling, RAB drilling and geological mapping. 24 stream sediment samples were collected. 3 from Driffield Creek returned weakly anomalous values (6.35, 7.4 and 6.9ppb Au). This was followed up by a regional soil survey which outlined 2 areas of anomalous gold geochemistry. One is along strike from the Horseshoe prospect. Follow up rock chip sampling returned only one anomalous value 3.89ppm. The other area is referred to as the central soil anomaly. The Central Soil Anomaly was followed up by a detailed soil survey, rock chip survey and 16 RAB holes. Anomalous values are erratically distributed in a northerly trending zone. RAB drilling returned values in the range of 0.1 to 0.32g-t Au. The area has been adequately tested and no further follow up is required. |
