Title: | EL 2839 (sic EP 2839) 'Batchelor North', annual report for 12 months ending 6-06-1991 |
Title Holder / Company: | Placer Exploration |
Report id: | CR1991-0382 |
Tenure: | EL2839 |
Year: | 1991 |
Author: | Konopa, S |
Abstract: | EL 2839 is considered prospective for stratabound and/or structurally controlled gold and base metal mineralisation. During the reporting period a reconnaissance BLEG stream sediment sampling programme was carried out. This programme involved the collection of 27 BLEG stream sediment and 33 rock chip samples. BLEG values ranged from below the limit of detection to 16.8 ppb Au. The gold anomalies define an area of 1 square kilometre warranting follow up work. The rock chip sampling has outlined a silicified shear zone with a strike length of 1 km and avaraging 0.9 ppm Au, which also warrants follow up. These samples returned values ranging from 0.13 to 5.92 ppm. 4 of these were also associated with elevated arsenic values. |
