Abstract: | Follow-up sampling of the possibly kimberlitic chromites was completed within EL 5361. This sampling was unable to repeat any of the first phase garnet results. It was therefore concluded that the first phase garnets were all due to sample aontamination during sample processing. Analysis of the results from the two phases of sampling, and detailed mapping indicated that the chromites originate from the Cretaceous tableland. Ground magnetics completed over all four magnetic targets. In addition to ground magnetic surveys, all anomalies were repeat sampled. Modeling of the magnetic anomalies however, does not indicate the presence of discrete intrusives. No further work is recommended for this area. |
