| Abstract: | A field investigation to test and study the sediments within Authority to Prospect No.1705 (Litchfield Area) for their phosphate content was undertaken during the field season of 1967. Only a few Middle Cambrian outcrops were found within the tenement area and samples were taken for later petrological analysis. These studies, together with a final review of available bore lithologic logs,do not suggest a phosphate deposit of any commercial extent. It is therefore recommended that Authority to Prospect No.1705 be relinquished. |
