Abstract: EL 30588 consists of 5 graticular blocks situated within the Pine Creek Geosyncline with Proterozoic sediments and metasediments on the license consisting of the South Alligator and Finniss River Groups and I-Type Proterozoic McCarthy's granite outcropping in the south. North of the granite contact is Mount Bonnie Formation and Gerowie Tuff and Zamu Dolerite, Wildman Siltstone and Mundogie Sandstone to the west of the license area. The historic lead-silver McCarthy's mine is located a few kilometres to the west of the license. Target areas include the Mount Bonnie Formation for gold and the Koolpin Formation for gold and base metals. Magnetic data were reprocessed experimenting with different gridding algorithms as input to magnetic modelling and inversion using grids and line data. Various plots of reprocessed images were generated and enhanced using high resolution SRTM relief shading with lithological boundaries. Work was put towards sophisticated geophysical modelling and inversion work covering the license area and results of this are still being completed and documented. A field trip is planned for the current season.
