| Abstract: | Mioxide Australia's last annual report indicated that we would try to delineate the Micaceous iron from the non Micaceous iron on this lease area but with our increased knowledge of the area and our abundance of Micaceous iron oxide in our South of the Ngalia basin leases, namely EL 31641/EL 31793 and EL 32090, it was however decided to concentrate on the beneficiation characteristics of the material located on this Lease area to be able to produce an Iron concentrate as used in the Industrial mineral industry. Further surface samples were collected from the previously drilled area, around 50 kilos. These samples along with other samples previously collected in the previous reporting area were utilised in our beneficiation studies and beneficiated materials have been introduced to the Industrial mineral Markets. We have been focusing on dry methods to beneficiate the Fe rich material above 40% Fe the focus has completely been on rare earth and induced magnetics and particle size of the material. We have found that complete liberation of the Silica from the iron occurs at -200 micron. Employing the services of Master Magnets situated in the UK and in collaboration with Neil Rowson Professor of Minerals Engineering University of Birmingham, 10 kilos of material was crushed by jaw mill and then passed through bench top roller mill to achieve a size of -400 micron +107 micron the following was the result on differing magnetic equipment and gauss settings. |
