Partial surrender of tenement EL 32304 Georgina Project 22 April 2021 to 22 April 2025

Abstract

The Georgina Project group GR620 comprises two exploration licences, EL 32109 and EL 32304, which cover an aggregate area of approximately 874 km2. This report documents the data generated over the blocks surrendered for EL 32304 only. Tenement EL 32304 which is part of the overall Barkly Copper-Gold Super Project, is centred approximately 110km ESE of Tennant Creek, in the Tennant Creek Mineral Field. The tenure is held by Barkly Operations Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Middle Island Resources Limited. The surface geology of the project area consists of sand dunes with minor colluvium. Historical exploration within the project area is extremely limited. The targets of exploration for Barkly Operations are primarily Tier 1 IOCG and SEDEX deposits hosted within Proterozoic successions. The model is largely predicated on the existence of deposits of similar affinity within the Warramunga Province to the west and Mt Isa Block to the east. Exploration work completed on the surrendered blocks comprised: Collation of open file geophysical datasets; Interpretation of aeromagnetic images. Tenement EL 32304 remains highly prospective for significant IOCG or SEDEX style deposits. Exploration has identified 2 targets on the overall tenement however no targets were generated on the blocks which were dropped. Several of these have been flagged as priority targets. The progression of targets to drill status is dependent on collection of further geophysical and geochemical data and ongoing modelling.
