EL 30294 and EL 31851 Jervois Project GR498 Fifth Annual Report for the period ending 3 December 2019

Abstract

The Jervois project is located in the central eastern part of the Northern Territory, approximately 400 km east north-east of the regional centre of Alice Springs. The project consists of two contiguous exploration licences; EL 30294 (granted 2014) & EL 31851 (granted 2018), which form the combined licence GR498 and are the subject of this report. Exploration by the tenement operator, Bowgan Minerals Limited is currently targeting the potential occurrence of economic copper-lead-zinc, silver and gold within a deposit setting similar to the historical Jervois workings. Exploration work conducted during the current reporting period involved; completion of soil sampling and geological mapping program during March 2019, testing of all soil and rock chip samples from March program via hand-held pXRF analyser, interpretation of results from pXRF analysis, completion of follow-up soil sampling and geological mapping program during July 2019, cataloguing of rock chip samples and cutting at the NTG core shed and the commencement of data entry for all field observations documented during the March 2019 field program. Analysis of soils from the March 2019 program via a hand-held pXRF analyser confirmed a maximum of 215ppm Zn, 67ppm Pb and 25ppm Co with a clustering of potentially anomalous values interpreted in the South target area. Elevated copper was identified in few samples however. Owing to a re-prioritisation of available resources to another exploration project during August 2019, preparation and analysis of the 396 soil samples collected during the follow-up program in July 2019 and upload of geological field observations was postponed. This work is currently scheduled to be completed during the next reporting period.
