L 28271 (Bald Hill), located 50 km northeast of Alice Springs, was acquired by KGL in 2015 through its subsidiary Jinka Minerals, due to its geological and mineralisation similarities with the Jervois Project. Since acquisition, KGL's primary focus has been on advancing Jervois, with work at Bald Hill limited to field reconnaissance and reviews of historical datasets. As a result, the tenement still lacked a cohesive geological framework. Despite this, reconnaissance and follow-up sampling quickly identified several new prospects: copper-gold at Turners and Emily, copper-zinc at Dawn, and lead-zinc at Gecko. These discoveries, along with historical records of Cu-Pb-Zn mineralisation, suggested that Bald Hill may host a significant mineralising system. However, no systematic exploration programs - such as large-scale geochemistry, geophysics, or drilling - were completed, leaving the area effectively a greenfield opportunity. In early 2025, KGL planned to advance Bald Hill with a soil sampling program designed to generate geochemical anomalies and provide the foundation for its proven staged exploration strategy, successfully applied at Jervois. This program was to represent the first systematic modern exploration at Bald Hill. However, before this work could be implemented, the renewal application for the tenement was denied and EL 28271 was cancelled in July 2025, bringing exploration at Bald Hill to an end despite encouraging early signs.-
