Title: Final Surrender Report EL 32004 Period 21st November 2019 to 9th July 2025
Title Holder / Company: Vista Gold Australia
Report id: CR2025-0480
Tenure: EL32004
Year: 2025
Author: McIlwain, G
Abstract: This Report describes work completed on EL 32004 from 21st November 2019 to 6th February 2025. This title is part of the Mt Todd Exploration Project, about 42 km north of Katherine and 260 km southeast of Darwin. In 2023, twenty-one blocks were relinquished from EL 32004 due to two consecutive years of non-compliant expenditure spending. Apart from acquiring an Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority (AAPA) certificate and conducting literature reviews, no exploration activities were conducted on the relinquished portion of the tenement. This was because the potential for discovering any gold mineralisation was very unlikely within the Palaeozoic limestones, sandstones, and siltstones of the Daly River Group and the Cainozoic cover. Further exploration activities within the retained portion of EL 32004 were concentrated on a Burrell Creek Formation inlier within the granitic rocks of the Cullen Batholith, with no success. The author recommends that the tenement should not be renewed.
