| Abstract: | Evaluation of a report on metal recoveries from heavy mineral sands in the Kulgera district, southern Northern Territory, by Guangzhou Research Institute of Non-ferrous Metals for Globe Mineral Resources International Pty Ltd (GMRI) dated 2015, led Havelock Mining Pty Ltd to apply for two exploration licences in the Kulgera district. The exploration licences, granted on 8 April 2022, cover two prospective areas defined by GMRI named Spice Prospect within EL 32858 and Dune Prospect within EL 32859. Soil sampling surveys and air-core drilling by GMRI indicated the presence of potentially economic heavy mineral sand deposits containing recoverable levels of iron and titanium minerals, plus a trace of zircon, within a group of now lapsed exploration licences. GMRI's exploration included air-core drilling in the southwest portion of their tenements on the Arrakis Prospect. Havelock Mining have collected historical exploration data and visited factories in China to assess mineral separation and concentration facilities and procedures. During the current tenement year, Havelock proposes to complete an evaluation of historical exploration and to initiate procedures to facilitate execution of exploration programs. |
