dc.description.abstractGempart's Musgraves Project is in the Musgraves Province in the extreme southwest corner of the Northern Territory. Tenement comprised four granted titles EL 25566, EL 27912, EL 27913 and EL 31383 with group reporting status GR461. EL 27912 and EL 27913 were surrendered in July 2019. EL 25566 and EL 31383 were surrendered in 2024. This document is a summary report on all exploration undertaken on the four titles from 2016 to 2024. Primary commodities sought are gold, base metals, nickel, PGE's, and REE's. Little modern exploration data exists from government information or past explorers. There are no prospects, mineral occurrences or drillholes within the relinquished area. The geology appears to be predominantly granitoid rocks of the Mesoproterozoic Umutju Granite Suite. Work since grant has included an external exploration potential review, two VTEM surveys for total 732 line km, three ground gravity surveys for total 1,731 stations, a helicopter-borne magnetic-radiometric survey for total 4,700 line km, three ground EM surveys comprising 136 receiver sites for a total of 8.8 km of moving loop data and 552 receiver sites for a total of 25.35 km of fixed-loop data, and two field trips with 130 pXRF readings. The detailed helicopter-borne survey data show a broad east-west trending corridor of complex magnetics with magnetic units possibly representing BIF formations and attests to a convolute deformation history. The detailed radiometrics confirm the extent of the Umutju granite suite under shallow cover and show the Walytjatjata Granite is slightly 'hot' with isolated anomalies reflecting outcrop patterns. No airborne EM data existed in the region. The VTEM surveys reveal significant conductive overburden response. Ground EM data often is noisy with an IP effect overprint. Interpretation of the geophysics generated targets thus: one priority 1 and six priority 2 VTEM anomalies, six aeromagnetic areas of interest labelled 1-6, four elevated radiometric responses labelled A-D, and one standout and 3 subsidiary gravity anomalies. Following field reconnaissance and further reviews three prospects were highlighted for ground EM +/- gravity. These are called Mag Anomaly #1 and VTEM Anomaly 1400a prospects on EL 25566, and SGC prospect on EL 31383. The Mag Anomaly #1 prospect was originally identified as a small, discrete magnetic anomaly of amplitude 1,500 nT. Sporadic outcrops of sheared gneissic rocks occur in the area. Detailed ground gravity confirmed a coincident two milliGal anomaly. Despite a serious IP effect overprint interpretation of ground EM data identified numerous conductors, the best with a conductivity-thickness of 100 Siemen. VTEM Anomaly 1400a is the only priority 1 anomaly selected from the VTEM surveys. It is coincident with a 250 nT aeromagnetic anomaly. Outcrop of Mantapayika Granite is peripheral to the prospect area. Fixed-loop EM data acquired on 12 traverses confirmed the airborne response and indicates there are two bedrock conductors of moderate conductivity-thickness. The SGC prospect is a standout anomaly identified from the 2018 gravity survey as a distinct anomaly one kilometre in length and amplitude seven milliGals. It is coincident with a two kilometre long 1,000 nT aeromagnetic anomaly. Detailed interpretation suggests the geophysical responses are consistent with very shallow near-coincident sources of density 3.5 gm/cc and magnetic susceptibility 0.2 SI. There is no VTEM response. Fixed-loop EM defined a weak anomaly coincident with the gravity/magnetic anomaly. The area is a flat sand plain and calcrete. An air-core drilling program was planned for each prospect to obtain bedrock samples for geochemical assay. An inordinate amount of time has elapsed since drill plans were lodged with the CLC and there is still no feedback regarding an on-country meeting. This, coupled with the significant expense of maintaining tenement has resulted in Gempart regrettably abandoning the project. The geological source of the geophysical anomalies at the three prospects remain unknown.en_US
