| Abstract: | Seismic data in the Beetaloo Sub-basin suffers from several near surface imaging challenges: Unconsolidated to consolidated surface sediments, a variable thickness of eroded and karstic limestones, and the presence of the Antrim Volcanics a significant attenuator of seismic energy. In order to overcome these challenges, Origin undertook reprocessing of ~1400 lin km 2D data by engaging two companies. Interpretation of the reprocessed data gives greater confidence over the South Eastern Flank of the Beetaloo Basin and provides more confident correlation of the Roper Group regionally. Compared to the original processing the reprocessed data has greatly enhanced the imaging of stratigraphy below the Roper Group, allowing for the inference and interpretation of the Potential Nathan Group, McArthur Group and Tawallah Group. |
