Abstract: The relinquished portion of Pietrovin's Exploration License (EL) 33326 is situated ~160 km to the northwest of Alice Springs. The area (located on Glen Helen Pastoral Station) is located within the Arunta Region, which has extensive histories of uranium, vanadium, base-metal and more recently REE exploration. Situated partially within the Warumpi Province and the Amadeus Basin, the area is geologically significant due to its complex tectonic history and diverse lithologies. The Warumpi Province, part of the Australian Proterozoic Orogen, formed from extensive tectonic activity between 2.5 billion and 541 million years ago, influencing the distribution of mineral deposits. EL 33326 is characterised by the presence of the Maddens Yard Metamorphic Complex, predominantly comprising migmatitic quartzofeldspathic gneiss. Intrusions like the Teapot Granite, notable for late-stage pegmatite and aplite phases, further enrich the geological diversity of the area, including secondary uranium mineralization. Exploration efforts by Pietrovin are driven by potential mineralisation in precious and base metals, uranium, rare earth elements (REEs), and platinum group elements (PGEs). Historic exploration data highlight significant indications of REE and uranium potential within the Teapot Granite. During its tenure, challenges in accessing the terrain prompted initial desktop studies and reconnaissance, focusing on compiling and analysing existing geological, geophysical, and geochemical data. No field access or sampling was conducted. While the relinquished area has been released due to difficulties with accessibility as well as changes to broader company priorities Pietrovin considers the broader tenement highly prospective, particularly for base metals to the north near the historic Stokes Yard prospect and Glen Helen mineral occurrences. Future exploration efforts will focus on accessible areas, leveraging insights gained from regional geology and prior exploration activities.
