Annual Report for EL 31407 Fenton North Project for the period 20 July 2017 to 19 July 2018

Abstract

This report describes exploration work on Exploration Licence 31407 (Fenton North project), conducted by Newmont Exploration Pty Ltd (Newmont) for the year ending 19th July 2018. Newmont's Fenton project is comprised of two tenements; EL 31350 and EL 31407. The Project is located in the western section of the Central Domain of the Pine Creek Orogen (PCO), which is a major gold and uranium province in the Northern Territory, as of 2015 the orogen had a resource of 12.7 Moz Au, with ~4 Moz Au produced (Whelan et al., 2017). Newmont's work on the Project targeted Proterozoic Pine Creek lode style gold mineralisation. Work completed during the reporting period included a literature survey, data compilation and field reconnaissance. EL 31407 will be further evaluated during the 2018-2019 reporting period in conjunction with EL 31350. Future work is scheduled to be undertaken during the 2018-2019 reporting period including a surface geochemical survey utilising Newmont's proprietary Deep Sensing Geochemistry (DSG) technique and a ground gravity survey.
