Knox Resources Pty Ltd ('Knox') was awarded a co- funding grant under Round 17 of the Northern Territory (NT) Government's Geophysics and Drilling Collaborations (GDC) Program. The co-funding grant was to undertake an Airborne Electromagnetic (VTEM Max) survey located on Exploration Licence (EL) 32282, which forms part of Knox's Western Georgina Project ('WGP'). The regional-scale airborne electromagnetic survey ('VTEM') was undertaken to explore for and identify conductive IOCG deposits, targeting mineralisation beneath the interpreted Ooradidgee - Warramunga unconformity in an area where the overlying Ooradidgee is interpreted to be thin. Exploration activities undertaken by Knox on the WGP have included: Desktop studies undertaken by SRK consultants to better understand the mineral potential within the project area; Collection of high-resolution geophysical data (magnetics & gravity); Drilling two deep exploration holes. The VTEM data is dominated by a series of large, northwest striking, linear features. The shape and decay characteristics of these show that they are due to broad, thick, unconfined, moderately conductive, lithological units likely to be members of the Warramunga Group sediments. No responses typical of conductive massive sulphides have been identified within the VTEM data.en_US
