L 32889 was granted in July 2022. The area includes substantial outcrop of Mesoproterozoic Roper Group sediments, and Palaeoproterozoic Tawallah Group sediments and rare volcanics. Primary target commodities are base metals, energy metals and battery metals. There are no mines, deposits or prospects within the tenement. The area has been explored for base metals, particularly of the McArthur River type, withoutsignificant results. Exploration for uranium in the 1970-80's revealed anomalies from surface sampling and airborne surveys. The Roper Group Corcoran Formation was identified as havingelevated background values, but the uranium boom abated and further investigation ceased. Drainage sampling and airborne geophysics was carried out in the 1980-90's for diamonds. Scattered microdiamonds and indicator minerals were recovered but follow-up failed to define a definitive indicator train or vector a primary source. No substantive new data have been collected since 1998. Given the resurgent interest in energy sources and the emerging battery metals market, a renewed investigation of the Tawallah Dome is warranted to search for minerals including zinc, uranium, thorium, lithium, cobalt, graphite, vanadium, and REE's. Broadmere EL 32889 was secured to complete coverage of the Tawallah Dome, most of which is on adjoining ground subject of Gempart tenement application Tanumbirini ELA 33466. However an objection has been raised to Expedited Procedure by the Northern Land Council in the Native Title Tribunal. Status is in limbo, date of grant is unknown if indeed grant is eventually successful. Exploration on Broadmere EL 32889 cannot realistically proceed as a stand-alone tenement and given the uncertainty surrounding ELA 33466 it has been decided to surrender the tenement. No new data was collected in the first and final year of tenure.-
