Abstract

No on-ground exploration activities were completed for the current reporting year. Work that has been completed has included the compilation, validation and assessment of all previous data held by Tanami Gold (NT) Pty Ltd and geological reconnaissance in order to gain first hand understanding of the geology and mineral prospectivity of the region prior to any initiation of staged field work proper. The results from the regional geochemical analysis of all previous soil sampling has led to the identification of several targets over the Cave Hill group however caution is advised. Though lithogeochemistry was found to be of value when using similar data populations, the Tanami Gold geochemical dataset shows significant variability across the area of interest. Further work is recommended and will include the reprocessing of existing aerial geophysics, the compilation of a regional tectono-stratigraphic map and geochemical sampling.
