Annual Report for Exploration License ML 24510 Tiwi Islands Northern Territory for period 7 August 2019 to 6 August 2020

Abstract

This annual report covers ML 24510 for the period 07 August 2019 to 06 August 2020 for which there is a due date of 5th November 2020. In the reporting year, the previous holder of the tenements, Matilda Zircon Limited was placed into voluntary administration. Tiwi Resources Pty Ltd, with the support of the Tiwi Land Council, successfully negotiated the acquisition from the administrator, of all Tiwi Island tiles previously held by Matilda Zircon Limited. There was no on ground activity for the reporting year due to Matilda Zircon being placed into administration and the transfer of titles being processed on 25th of February 2020. Access to area was very limited during the Wet Season which was followed by access restrictions due to COVID-19. Activity was limited to a desk top review of previous work. Mining has been performed within ML 24510 in previous reporting periods with the target commodity being heavy mineral (HM) containing a suite of Zircon, rutile, leucoxene and ilmenite.
