Annual Report for ML 24511 Tiwi Islands Northern Territory for period 5 December 2019 to 6 December 2020

Abstract

This annual report covers ML 24511 for the period 05 December 2019 to 06 December 2020 for which there is a due date of 2nd of February 2021. In the reporting year, the previous holder of the tenements, Matilda Zircon Limited was placed into voluntary administration. Tiwi Resources Pty Ltd, with the support of the Tiwi Land Council, successfully negotiated the acquisition from the administrator, of all Tiwi Island tiles previously held by Matilda Zircon Limited. There was no on ground activity for the reporting year due to Matilda Zircon being placed into administration and the transfer of titles being processed on 25th of February 2020. Access to area was very limited during the Wet Season which was followed by access restrictions due to COVID-19. Activity was limited to a desk top review of previous work. Mining has been performed within ML 24511 in previous reporting periods with the target commodity being heavy mineral (HM) containing a suite of Zircon, rutile, leucoxene and ilmenite.
