dc.description.abstractEL 31539 was granted to Montejinni Resources Pty Ltd by NT Department of Primary Industry and Resources on 8th March 2018 for a period of six years. Montejinni completed its first year of exploration. EL 31539 license area locates in Kalkarindji Continental Flood Basalt Province, within the outcrop area of Kalkarindji Suite. Kalkarindji Continental Flood Basalt is characterised by very low concentration of Platinum Group Elements (PGE). This was considered (Glass et al) to be comparable with that of Siberian Traps Large Ingeous Province at Noril'sk in northern Siberian, which is host to World-class nickel mineralisation. Secondary copper minerals, mainly malachite and less azurite, have been identified in the contact zone between Montejinni Limestone and Kalkarindji basalt in the southern part of EL 31539. The copper mineralized contact zone can be traced along the 200 meter altitude elevation contour line over 10 kilometers in the southern part of EL 31539. Preliminary and limited extend soil geochemistry survey results indicate that copper enrichment process occurred in the contact zone between Montejinni Limestone and Kalkarindji basalt. Copper content is lower in the samples collected away from the contact. Field investigations identified surface (floater) specimens containing malachite over a 300m strike, the contact between the Montejinni Limestone and the Antrim Plateau Volcanics. The area of the reported locations was investigated with no obvious signs of ground disturbance. It is thought that these locations are approx 50-100m from the actual location, which now presents as a small creek. Partial leach soil geochemistry was conducted with multi-element analysis, but sampling was cut short due to rain. The results have confirmed the presence of copper, gold, silver and arsenic mineralisation. The results suggest the host rock is intrusive related, though due to recent rainfalls and the topography being in a flood plain, the responses were below normal expectations. Tempus plans to conduct AC drilling to refusal or 40m vertically within areas of anomalous geochemistry to identify the source of the mineralisation.
