dc.description.abstract | AMSAN16 Southern Amadeus 2D Seismic Survey was acquired in two phases of acquisition to allow processing to be completed of the first phase to allow optimum post processed positioning of the remaining lines of phase 2. The purpose of this vibroseis survey was to acquire 1300 Km of 2D seismic to satisfy work commitments contained within the farm-out agreement between Central Petroleum (and subsidiaries) and Santos relating to EP82, 105, 112 and 125. A gravity survey was also undertaken during phase 2 of the seismic survey along three seismic lines, with the objectives of i) improving gravity data resolution along the seismic lines (existing gravity data at 4 km and 1 km station spacing), facilitating detection of shallower and higher frequency lateral density changes related to complex structure, and ii) providing additional data to guide interpretation of the 2D seismic lines, particularly in zones where seismic imaging is poor. | |
