dc.description.abstractEL 31045 ('Nathan River') is part of the McArthur Project, owned and operated by Energia Minerals Limited ('Energia'). It is located some 100 km WNW of Borroloola, Western Australia, 100 km NW of the McArthur River mining centre. The tenement is being explored for Base Metals. The tenement is predominantly underlain by Mesoproterozoic sediments of the Roper, Nathan, McArthur, and Tallawah groups of the McArthur Basin. Numerous base metal and barite occurrences are noted in the region. Work completed during 2016-2017 on EL 31045 included completion of geological, geochemical and geophysical data compilation, planning and organising of CSIRO geochemical trial studies, interpretation of basin structure and potential. Further exploration works are warranted and planned.
