Cave Hill Project Annual and Final Surrender Report for EL 10355, EL 22229, EL 23342 and EL 9763 from 24 July 2000 to 22 July 2020

Abstract

EL 10355, EL 22229, EL 23342 and EL 9763 form part of the Cave Hill project which is located approximately 650km northwest of Alice Springs along the Tanami Road. The main access route to the project is via the Tanami Road then southwest at the Tanami Downs Station road, followed by station tracks. The project is difficult to access with significant cross country bush driving required. The project lies within the Tanami region and interpreted bedrock geological mapping shows the area is dominated by Antrim Plateau Volcanics, Dead Bullock Formation and Kill Killi Formation. Work completed during the reporting period has included: Aeromagnetics/radiometrics surveys, Ground gravity surveys, Data review and analysis, Air core (including Mantis) and RAB drilling, Soil, lag, rock chip, termite and drill chip surface sampling, Petrology, Heritage survey, Regional targeting assessment, Regional geochemistry and stratigraphic project. Work conducted over the area confirmed the presence of lower Tanami Group stratigraphy, specifically Killi Killi and Dead Bullock Formations. No significant mineralisation or gold anomalism was identified, confirming limited prospectivity.
