Abstract: | This report covers activities on an amalgamated group of tenements (GR275/14) including ELs28291, 28893, 28896 and recently granted 29675 all held by Australian Ilmenite Resources Pty Ltd (AIR). These tenements are reported under GR276/14 with a common reporting date for technical and expenditure reporting period to 8th February. This is the second Group Report for GR276/14. This Group includes AIR's southern most tenements that are semi contiguous. Amalgamation applications of some tenements have been submitted to simplify reporting. Apart from a review of previous exploration work undertaken on these tenements to prepare for upcoming field work little activity was conducted in this tenement group during the reporting period. This included additional map printing, resource reviews with a look at establishing further non-intrusive rotary wing based exploration programs and identifying field locations of possible drilling to confirm resources. The lack of exploration activity was due to the company focussing on production issues on its MLs and reported to the Department via a series of presentations. The prime consideration being given to reducing our tenement holdings or by Joint Ventures with other exploration entities. Funding has been sourced to support production as well as this future exploration. Consideration was given to identifying a location for a bulk sample (two tonne) pit. A trench was excavated and sampled within EL 28291 to confirm ilmenite thickness and grade within a black soil regolith. This tenement group is located on the southern portion of AIR's land holdings approximately 60 to 100kms east of Mataranka in the Roper River region of the Northern Territory. |
