Abstract

Tri-Star has studied a wide area of the western and northern portion of the Pedirka Basin to establish the geological framework of the Purni Formation coals and ironstones. During the first year of the tenure, Tri-Star has carried out a review of data compilations and engaged further geological mapping. The office-based research and evaluation activities included engaging new structure mapping based on new data additions. No field activities were required under the permit, nor were any field activities undertaken on EL 29233 during the reporting period. Tri-Star has reviewed existing data for the permit area including geological and geochemical data. The data has formed a database of useful information which was used for interpretation of the permit geology and the potential for mineral deposits. The information Tri-Star has obtained to date indicated there may be potential mineral deposits within the tenure. However, further research and evaluation activities are required to determine the extent of the resources and the feasibility in pursuing the exploration of same.
