In 2017 and 2018, Prodigy Gold NL (Prodigy) intersected unexpected gold mineralisation in the Suplejack Fault. Prodigy drilled a single NTGS co-funded diamond hole (HYDD100054) to a total depth of 370 m to test the orientation and true width of a broad brecciated zone associated with the Suplejack Fault. The objectives of the program were to understand the kinematics of the fault zone, understand the host rock type, and determine the nature of the mineralisation east of the Suplejack Fault. The drilling intercepted the Hyperion South Fault between 143.7 m and 144.3 m down hole. Alteration associated with the fault included replacement of host lithologies with milky or bucky quartz vein + pyrite as well as intense brecciation and shearing intercepted between 139.5 m and 152.6 m in graphitic black shales. Another fault intercepted between 173.1 m to 200 m is associated with an intense zone of network quartz veining in a sandy-siltstone, with weak sericitic alteration followed by a wide lens of graphitic schist, with quartz veining + disseminated pyrite. The hole ended in narrow dolerites and basalts, which probably represent a sliver of the Mt Charles Formation displaced into the fault zone. No significant alteration or associated mineralisation occurs in the lower third of the hole. With the exception of structural data due core orientation issues, the HYDD100054 drilling project successfully achieved its objectives.en_US
