A team was sent to the ML in June 2012 to caretake the area and surface collect prehnite. Our signs at North and South end of the ML had been destroyed and there was evidence of illegal fossicking. No fossickers visited the area during our presence at the ML. The main focus of collecting was concentrated on Area 1. About 4 tonnes of prehnite was collected and 2 tonnes was shipped back to Melbourne. The remaining 2 tonnes was hidden on an adjacent creek bend East of the No. 6 Bore. Gerald Pauley and Linna Huang visited the area in 2013 and there was no sign of the 2 tonnes that was stored on the ML. It appears that the material was stolen as only parts of the hessian bags remained. Linna Huang has been marketing the material in China and is slowly establishing a demand for the rough material. The material collected during 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 was cleaned by tumbling to determine the value. Once cleaned, Linna purchased all the material from Crystal Universe and shipped it to China. In April, 2013, the material was still in transit and we are unable to say whether this quality is saleable in China. We have Authourised MMP for 2013 and plan to use equipment to ascertain the viability of the deposit by excavating in target areas. We rely on the wet season to uncover gem material but there was no significant rain during 2012/2013 so surface collecting during 2013/2014 may not yield profitable material. Linna remained optimistic and made an offer to purchase the ML 25205 and EL 28125.en_US
