Abstract

GR248 forms part of the greater Reward project area owned by Rox Resources. Teck Australia Pty Ltd has signed an agreement that gives the option to earn 70 percent through exploration expenditure with an option to form a JV. Teck commenced research work on the area in 2011. The area is prospective for SEDEX (sediment-hosted) style zinc-lead mineralisation. Included within the tenement is the Myrtle deposit, a significant SEDEX style zinc-lead deposit with a resource of 43.6 million tonnes grading 4.09 percent Zn and 0.95 percent Pb. Also within the tenement are the Berjaya, Boko, Reward and Buffalo Lagoon prospects. Exploration activities conducted in over the period 24th March 2012 to 23rd March 2013 by Teck Australia Pty. Ltd. included field mapping, geochemical sampling, diamond drilling (~1760m), petrophysical studies, historical data review and compilation, wireline logging and data interpretation and 3D modelling. During 2012 two Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority (AAPA) certificates were received. The certificates provided clarity for future drilling and geochemical sampling programs at the Teena - Boko Prospect. Teck undertook rehabilitation of disturbed sites from September-November 2012. Sites that were rehabilitated include drill pads, the camp location, roads and pumping stations adjacent to the McArthur River. Exploration for 2013 will be focused on drilling out and defining mineralisation at the Teena and Boko prospects. Four holes are planned to test the Teena sub-basin, with an additional hole planned to test the adjacent Boko sub-basin.
