EL 26397, EL 23117, EL 23118, EL 27342 Abner Project Combined Annual Report GR140 for the period 3 August 2012 to 2 August 2013

Abstract

Exploration activities completed during the reporting period included processing of previously collected loam samples over a relatively unexplored portion of the Abner plateau. A total of 31 samples were processed with 15 samples reporting positive for chromites potentially sourced from a kimberlite. Additional sampling was undertaken on EL 26397 to investigate some airborne gravity targets. A total of 27 loam samples were collected with 5 reporting positive for chromites. Two repeat/follow-up samples were collected on EL 27342 to verify positive results received during the 2011 sampling program. The follow-up samples also reported positive resulted for chromites. The chromites are described by a consulting mineralogist as weathered and sourced from common rock types and possibly kimberlites. Many of the chromites were recovered in locations where there is no known kimberlite source and Legend is highly encouraged that further exploration in such areas will lead to discovery of additional kimberlites.
