ML 24510 Annual Report for period ending 7 September 2012 Andranangoo

Abstract

This annual report covers ML 24510 (local area Andranangoo) located on the north coast of Melville Island in the Northern Territory. During the reporting period no mineral sand exploration work was completed on the ML because it is considered to be exhausted following mining finishing in 2008. No further exploration is required to define mineralised zones. Work in the ML during the period 8 September 2011 to 7 September 2012 was focussed on rehabilitation and primarily consisted of weed control and the cleanup of litter left by indigenous campers. This report summarises the location, title history, access to the area, physiography and geology. A reserves table contains data extracted from the 2010 reserves report. It is recommended visits to the site over the next 12 month period are conducted at bi-monthly intervals over the dry season for the purpose of weed and litter control to assist with the natural rehabilitation of the site. Infill planting with local species from the Milikapati Nursery is also recommended to assist with species diversity.
