Kurundi Project GR-77 Combined Annual Report for the period 13 February 2011 to 12 February 2012, EL 23937 and EL 24995

Abstract

During the reporting period, exploration activities on tenements EL 23937 and EL 24995 were restricted as a result of access issues in the immediate vicinity of the Mundagee mine area centred on Aboriginal sacred sites. To date, no agreement has been reached between Northern Minerals and the Traditional Owners has been reached, and a proposed diamond drill program in the immediate vicinity of the old Munadgee workings could not proceed. A field reconnaissance visit was undertaken in November 2011 to investigate a radiometric anomaly with similar characteristics to that seen at Munadgee. Work planned included geological mapping and rock chip sampling. Heavy rains in the district prevented access to the project via the Kurundi Station, and the program was subsequently abandoned. In December 2011, Northern Minerals completed an agreement to grant the designated base metal rights, excluding Rare Earth Elements (REE), gold and uranium, to Tungsten West NL.
