EL 29487 Annual Report for the period 7 December 2016 to 6 December 2017

Abstract

This report describes exploration activities conducted over EL 29487 during 7 December 2016 to 6 December 2017. EL 29487 is a part of the Legend International Holdings (Legend) Abner Project. During the reporting period, Legend did not conduct any field-based exploration on the Licence. This is due to Legend involvement in legal proceedings. Legend, however, reviewed previously acquired diamond exploration data from the project area. Two electromagnetic (EM34) anomalies identified during the 2012-2013 exploration work on the Licence were regarded highly prospective that may represent presence of kimberlites. The occurrences of abundant kimberlitic chromites in the surrounding drainages that receive their discharge from the area that hosts these anomalies further support this assertion. During next reporting period, company plans to recover large samples by costeaning these EM34 targets to determine whether these anomalies are in fact geophysical expression shallowly buried kimberlites. Additional heavy mineral samples if required will be collected within the region to further assess the prospectivity.
