The palaeontologic examination of the samples from the auger holes suggests that the Cretaceous where ever penetrated could probably all be of Cenomanian age. No definite correlation was possible between the assemblages from the auger holes and the diamond drill holes. A programme of auger sampling was unweathered samples of Cretaceous sediments of biostratigraphic correlation based on foraminifera.en_US
