A Landsat lineament study has been undertaken over and adjacent to EP3. The purpose of this study is the locate potential oil bearing structures with the permit using satellite images. Mapping and interpretation was carried out at three scales; 1: 1,000,000; 1: 250,000 and 1: 100,000.en_US
Several major lineament trends occur within the Bonaparte Basin sequence and the density and complexity of lineaments increases south upwards. Several circular features are mapped within the study area. These circular features suggest that the offshore portion of the permit is likely to be affected by salt diapirs. Further geophysical investigation is warranted.en_US
