Permits EP126, EP352 and EP31 are held 100% by Comada and cover a combined area of 4750 square kilometres. A substantial interest in these areas is being offered by participation in the 1991 exploration program.en_US
Work by Comada Energy has delineated a large untested play area with oil potential in the onshore Bonaparte Basin. Plays have been identified on the basis of extensive geological field mapping, seismic and existing geological subsurface information. Targets include Carboniferous and Devonian sandstones and carbonates in structural, stratigraphic and combination traps. Salt influenced structures are also anticipated. The Carboniferous basin margin is the prime target area. It offers shallow targets, where good reservoir development is expected, lying within the oil window. Prospects and leads mapped to date have the capacity to reservoir a maximum of over 500 million barrels of recoverable oil.en_US
