Fault line traps and structures created by the intersections of two faults may contain oil and gas accumulations in those parts of the Amadeus Basin where Ordovician stratigraphic conditions are favourable. Some of these traps such as the Mt. Solitary prospect have the capacity to contain very large quantities of oil and gas. This report describes petroleum trap structures located along Gardiner and Carmichael fault systems in the Mt. Solitary Area of the Amadeus Basin.en_US
