dc.description.abstract | The most promising sequence in the Waterhouse Formation which is composed of highly organic and commonly bituminous limestones and barren shales. The only other formation is the Horn Valley Formation, however this is considered too thin and irregular and lacking bituminous beds. The many folds in the area offer good structural trap conditions. The aim was to study geology of part of these ranges with a view to assessing the possibilities of oil accumulations in Middle-Upper Cambrian and Lower Ordovician formations. | en_US |
