This Record presents new multi-collector laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (MC-LA-ICP-MS) lutetium-hafnium (Hf) isotope results from 14 sedimentary rock samples collected from the Neoproterozoic succession of the Amadeus Basin, Northern Territory. Thirteen samples were collected in the northeast Amadeus Basin (ILLOGWA CREEK, ALICE SPRINGS, RODINGA and HALE RIVER) where the Neoproterozoic stratigraphy is best exposed, and one sample was collected from petroleum well Wallara 1 in the central Amadeus Basin (HENBURY).en_US
Zircon Hf isotopic analysis was undertaken on zircon samples that had been previously been dated by SHRIMP or LA-ICP-MS in order to augment U-Pb studies of detrital zircon from sedimentary rock units within the Amadeus Basin.en_US
